Dermalux LED Phototherapy is a safe, pain-free way for getting naturally vibrant, clearer skin. The procedure uses LEDs to expose your skin to specific types of light to stimulate natural responses in the skin making it a leading, non-invasive treatment for skin-rejuvenation and problem skin conditions such as flushed and spot prone skin. The procedure is safe, painless and doesn’t even require any downtime due to recovery.

How it works

We often associate exposure to light with negative effects such as skin ageing and photo damage, but light can also have many positive influences on our bodies. It helps us produce vitamin D, provides energy and serotonin, encourages cell growth and can rejuvenate collagen in your skin.

The spectrum of light is divided into those that you can see, such as red and blue light, and those you can’t, such as UV and near-infrared. The differences between the positive and negative effects of light are the amounts and the parts of that spectrum to which you’re exposed. Different types of light stimulate different responses, so while ongoing exposure to UV is very damaging, controlled levels of near-infrared, blue and red light are clinically proven to be beneficial in rejuvenating skin and resolving problem skin conditions.

This treatment is safe, pain free and suitable for all skin types. Each treatment requires you to spend about 20 minutes under the light and is actually a pleasant, relaxing experience. Your practitioner will advise you on what the best combination of light and course of treatment is best for your skin.

The Treatments

Whether you want to rejuvenate aged skin or prevent the signs of ageing, the Dermalux Energise treatment is the perfect one for you. It combines red and near-infrared wavelengths to recharge your skin, energising skin cells to strengthen the skin and enhance its natural processes.

This results in a more radiant, awakened complexion that’s stronger and healthier. Not only having a visual impact on your skin, but also giving it the strength to prevent damage that appears as the signs of ageing.

The treatment also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin to improve your skin’s elasticity and reduce wrinkles.

Resolve treatments treat problem skin conditions such as spot prone skin and redness.

Resolve – Spots uses a combination of red, blue and near-infrared wavelengths to not only reduce the number of comedones and pustules, but also calm and soothe skin leaving it looking and feeling refreshed. It works by targeting the bacteria that cause acne, as well as reducing sebum production, redness and inflammation – all without irritation, pain or downtime. You can enhance the results of the treatment by combining it with the BiRetix Spot-Control Programme.

Resolve – Redness uses a combination of red and near-infrared wavelengths, the Dermalux Resolve treatment for Redness calms and soothes the skin, controlling redness and inflammation… it’s simple and very effective. You can further enhance the results by combining it with the Control Tactics Redness-Control Programme.

Using a variety of combinations of light wavelengths depending on the kind of procedure you’ve had, Dermalux light therapy can help to soothe the skin, stimulate the healing process, reduce inflammation, redness and also pain. It’s also a fantastically relaxing treatment, giving you some time out following your procedure.
